Community Guidelines
Kiwi Dealz is a community, and like any good community, it works best when everyone’s on the same page. These guidelines are here to keep things fair, friendly, and useful for all of us. Nothing complicated — just common sense stuff.
Be Respectful and Friendly
We’re all here to save money, not to have arguments. Treat other members the way you’d want to be treated.
- Be kind in comments, even if you disagree with someone
- No personal attacks, name-calling, or harassment
- No discrimination of any kind
- Constructive feedback is great — being a jerk about it isn’t
- Remember there’s a real person on the other end of every post and comment
This is meant to be a good time. Let’s keep it that way.
Deals Must Be Genuine
Only share deals that are real, currently available, and a genuine saving. The community relies on trustworthy information.
- The deal must be live and available at the time of posting
- Include the retailer link (if it’s an online deal)
- Include the price and ideally the original/usual price so people can see the saving
- Write a clear description — what’s the deal, where is it, and why is it good?
- If it’s an in-store deal, mention the store name and location (or if it’s nationwide)
- If there are any conditions (e.g., coupon code, minimum spend, membership required), mention them upfront
The more detail you include, the more helpful it is for everyone.
No Referral or Affiliate Links
Do not post your own referral links or affiliate links. This includes links that earn you a personal commission, credit, or reward. Deals should benefit the community, not your wallet.
If you’re unsure whether a link counts as a referral link, leave it out and post the direct retailer link instead. Posts with referral or affiliate links will be removed.
No Spam or Self-Promotion
Kiwi Dealz isn’t a place to advertise your business, side hustle, or product. Specifically:
- No promoting your own products or services
- No posting the same deal repeatedly
- No bulk-posting low-quality deals just to rack up posts
- No links to your own blog, YouTube, or social media for promotional purposes
- No posting deals that are only available through your own store or platform
If you’re a business and you genuinely have a great deal for Kiwis, get in touch with us first through the contact page.
Mark Deals as Expired
Deals don’t last forever. When you notice a deal has ended — whether it’s your own post or someone else’s — please help out by:
- Leaving a comment letting people know it’s expired
- Using the “Report” button to flag it for the moderators
Keeping deals up to date is one of the most valuable things you can do for the community. Nobody likes clicking through to find the deal’s already gone.
Report Inappropriate Content
See something that doesn’t belong? Use the report button on any deal or comment to flag it for our moderators. You can report:
- Deals that are fake, misleading, or expired
- Comments that are rude, offensive, or harassing
- Spam or self-promotional content
- Referral/affiliate links
- Anything that just doesn’t seem right
We review all reports and appreciate you helping us keep the community clean.
NZ Deals Only (With One Exception)
Kiwi Dealz is for deals available to New Zealanders. This means:
- NZ retailers — online and in-store, big chains and local shops
- International stores that ship to NZ — Amazon AU, AliExpress, ASOS, etc. are all fine, as long as the deal is accessible to Kiwis
If you’re posting an international deal, please mention any shipping costs and estimated delivery times to NZ so people can factor that in.
Deals that are only available overseas with no NZ shipping option don’t belong here.
Moderation
Our moderators are here to keep things running smoothly. They have the right to:
- Remove deals that break these guidelines
- Remove comments that are abusive, spammy, or inappropriate
- Edit deal titles for clarity or accuracy
- Mark deals as expired
- Issue warnings to members who repeatedly break the rules
- Suspend or ban accounts for serious or repeated violations
Moderation decisions are made in good faith to protect the community. If you think a decision was made in error, get in touch through the contact page and we’ll have a look.
Keep It Fun
At the end of the day, we’re all here because we love a good bargain. Kiwi Dealz should be a place you enjoy visiting — somewhere you can find a great deal, have a yarn in the comments, and help out your fellow Kiwis.
Don’t overthink it. Share good deals, be a good human, and let’s all save some money together.
Chur.
